We get a lot of questions regarding puppy food and dog food. What brand is best? Where can we get what you use? How much should we feed?

We use Nutri Source Medium and Small Breed Puppy Food.
We prefer the no corn products for puppies, believing ingredients other than corn are better for the digestive tract.

Their web site has a retail locator you can use by simply entering your zip code. It can be found at: www.nutrisourcedogfood.com

For feeding amounts we recommend putting a pre-measured amount out for your puppy and letting them eat for about 10-15 minutes, then pick up and determine how much he/she has consumed. Small puppies will need to eat 3 or more times a day.

Feeding Guidelines

**Amount of food consumed will vary based on activity level, age, breed and environment. Standard 8-oz/250 cc measuring cup holds approximately 4.40 oz/125 g of Nutrisource Small & Medium Breed Puppy Formula Dog Food. At 5-7 months and again at about 12 months, your puppy will automatically reduce the amount consumed. This is due to natural reduction in growth rate and the reduced need for calories. Consult your veterinarian if you believe your dog is too thin or overweight. Remember it is important to have clean, fresh water available for your dog at all times.
